OKI Systems UK Ltd has announced it will give its name to the new £2million media centre complex at Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s 3aaa County Ground, in Derby, with their accredited partner Docuflow promoting OKI at a regional level.
The new centre, due to be completed this August, is the culmination of a major development at the club which began with the 3aaa pavilion and the Elite Performance Centre last year. As part of the major sponsorship deal, the new four-storey media centre will be known as the OKI Business and Media Centre. Derbyshire County Cricket Club has invested in the new purpose-built centre as part of its plan to increase national and international media coverage. Its construction also played a major part in the Club’s successful bid for Derby to be a host city for of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2017. For OKI, it will be an opportunity to showcase the latest print and document management technology, with two floors dedicated to office space, it will be able to establish a customer demonstration suite within the complex.
Andrew Hall, OKI Systems UK marketing manager, said: “Derby was recently described by George Osborne, former Chancellor of the Exchequer as ‘a great example of what the British economy should be in the future’. It has been named as one of the top 25 European cities in which to invest and recognised by the Financial Times FDI awards as an outstanding location for business friendliness.”
“We are, therefore, delighted to give our name to such an exciting new enterprise. We look forward to welcoming our clients to the centre and enjoying many years of good cricket in the future.”
